Project Manager: Educational Products (software/web)

POSITION:

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Project Manager of Educational Products is responsible for the on-time, on-budget delivery of educational technology projects (primarily for the educational publishing market).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (not listed by priority)
- Reviews RFPs and gathers data necessary for building project estimates and proposals.
- Manages other producers and projects manager (internal and external)
- Oversees, organizes, and delegates project-related tasks.
- Maintains schedules and budgets and reports project progress to manager
- Works closely with production/engineering leaders to ensure that projects are staffed properly.
- Builds productive relationships with client contacts and maintains close communication.
- Assists with various production tasks (e.g. content organization, audio producing, and CD/Web product build-out).
- Responsible for managing quality assurance of final deliverables.
- Directs vendors and contractors.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidate should have excellent communication skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at one time.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Experience with web and/or software development cycles and project management
- BA or BS required
- Knowledge of educational markets and curriculum a plus.
