IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER The accuracy of motion analysis of objects in QuickTime movies captured from consumer grade digital video cameras is limited. There are small discrepancies in horizontal and vertical scaling, optical distortions, image resolution and other factors, and you can expect no better than: • 2% accuracy when analyzing 1D motion with careful calibration along the line of motion. • 5% relative accuracy between horizontal and vertical motions unless extremely careful vertical and horizontal cross calibration is performed.
