History
Lenox Softworks was founded in 1994 by a former General Electric corporate communications manager (Nathan Winstanley) and two top academics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Frank DiCesare and Mark Luetzelschwab). Winstanley already owned a thriving marketing communications company and was intrigued by the buzz about new media and its potential for communication and learning. Starting with a single corporate client, Lenox Softworks has grown steadily by providing unique solutions to commercial and educational clients. Along the way, the company also began building proprietary CD and web-based products serving educational, advertising, and corporate clients worldwide.
In 2004, Ron Thompson joined the company as principal and Chief Operating Officer, extending a 20 year career in broadcasting, video production, and educational publishing. Joining an extremely talented team of programmers, designers, and educational experts, Ron set out to grow the educational technology and product development portions of the business.
Located in Lenox, Massachusetts, Lenox Softworks shares the historic Col. Elijah Northrup House with sister company Winstanley Associates, a full-service marketing communications firm. Together, we form a spunky and versatile group of 30+ professionals who set out every day to prove that it’s possible to enjoy one’s vocation. |
